you ever notice.....?

just how boring some people are?

now, before i go on, let me go ahead and
prevent ANYONE from thinking that i am
refering to them. i don't want a thousand
posts asking me if i mean someone
here blah blah blah...

anyways, yeah...
some people are really dull.

sometimes i will hear some shit someone
says... and i'm AMAZED at how i gave them
time.

sometimes i will hear something and just
be bewildered at how dull a person can be.

now don't get me wrong --
to these people, what they have to say is
probably the biggest thing in their lives...
or, to them, is just so important/funny/clever
that they are overcome and just have to share
it.

i don't usually think that far ahead...
i generally stop when i realize that what
has been said is just a fucking waste of
time.

oh.. i'm also not talking about people that
do not lead exciting lives. i personally
don't give a shit if person A goes mountain
hiking or person B tosses newspapers...
thats not what i'm trying to pinpoint...

what i AM trying to pinpoint, are those people
that live boring, repetitive lives... and
with each new segment of their lives... they
speak about it as if its something new...
and there you are... clawing the walls inside
your head... because these people live in
the fucking twilight zone... and need
professional, medical attention.

my sister is teetering on this type of
person...
audrey wasn't the person i was thinking
about when i made this thread... but she
will do as a non-biased example. tee hee!

my sister works CONSISTANTLY....
she works at UPS during the late hours and
a pizza joint during the day (shotgun dans).

she can easily come to my house and speak
enthusiastically (for hours) about some
remedial activity she had to do at work...
like chopping onions.

personally, information about chopping onions
should only be a slight highlight to a much
larger story... but not so in this case...

she will go on and on and on about ONE fucking
onion chopping event... down to the very
marrow of detail... (including the banality
of placing plastic wrap over the container)

and i'm sitting there... spaced and nodding...
and just wanting to leap out from my seat
and scream my fucking head off.

I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT CHOPPING ONIONS
SO MUCH THAT I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT WHICH
DIRECTION YOU FUCKING CUT THEM IN!!!!

er... anyways...

boring people....
there are a lot of them out there....
and there are many degrees to how a person
can kill time with a boring story. the
above was just one example.

i can go back to lurking again.... :-"
